Welcome Little Brother

Luke recently welcomed his baby brother, Gabe into the world. The first couple of weeks were a little rough, but he has since taken to his role as big brother quite well. He loves to help by getting diapers, holding the baby, and pushing his swing. He also accomplished the feat of potty training in May! We've been working on this for awhile, but he has a stubborn streak in him. He knew all about what to do and could even tell you when he was going, but he thought it would hurt more on the potty. A little well-timed bribery wiht a lake trip and walah...fully potty trained within days! He's made the full transition to being a "big" boy...I'm so proud of him for so many things, but it's also a little sad to see him growing up so quickly.

Age 2 1/2

Luke has grown and developed in so many ways over the past year. He is a wonderfully intelligent little man who thinks that he is way older than his 2 1/2 years. His latest accomplishment has been reaching the light switch on his own. Luke is fiercely independent in everything from washing his hands to putting on his shoes to getting his own drink of water. He also loves to help with grown up jobs such as mopping and cooking dinner. We just hope that this continues well into his childhood years! Luke continues to amaze us with his language skills. He continues to add words such as precious, perfect, and amazing. He loves to ask us what words mean so that he can use them later!
